In the MultiPep RS base configuration up to 384 peptides are made in four 96 well filter plates filled with synthesis support. Reagents are held in the reaction wells and are extracted by vacuum applied to the bottom of the reaction module. An 8-channel manifold connected to a solvent pump is used for rapid washing. The chemistry is optimized for Fmoc-based peptide synthesis with activation by PyBOP/NMM, HBTU/DIPEA or a similar protocol. If larger amounts of peptides are needed, an optional Column Module can be used to make up to 72 peptides at a scale ranging from 25-100 μmol.
